Bands/Artists
The actual bands and artists that I am going to use for my magazine are:
Tetris Effect who are a college band which I play in. I will probably use Tetris Effect as the front cover image.
I am also going to have Pete Riley as my double page spread article as he has agreed to do an interview. Pete is a professional drummer who has played with Republica, Motorhead's Eddie Clarke and Guthrie Govan.

Looking at Fonts
On this cover there are many different fonts used. There is the usual Metal Hammer masthead so that people still find it easily in a shop. Then however, for the main bands that feature in that issue they have used band logo's. They have also used big, bold lettering for the rest of the features in the issue. For my magazine i will use bold writing as this shows off the genre of the magazine. For the masthead I will use a large almost overpowering font but will not be intrusive to the main picture or cover.
Colour Schemes
On this Kerrang magazine cover they mainly used a white, black and red colour scheme. This is common in a lot of hard rock and metal magazines and album covers. This is why I am going to use a black and white colour scheme to make my magazine different to others already on the market.
